Peter Batrouney wins the Services Recognition Trophy
Posted on: 22 April
Congratulations Peter Batrouney on winning this year’s Services Trophy with a score of 38 points. This is a fantastic result for Peter, a fantastic clubman who participates in most if not all of the men’s Wednesday events.
The Services Recognition Golf Day began at Sorrento Golf Club in 2006. Originally held on or around Anzac Day, the event featured a golf competition followed by a luncheon with a guest speaker from one of our Armed Services. The SGC Committee recognised the contributions of many members who have served in the military by declaring the golf competition a trophy event. This will be played on the nearest Wednesday to Anzac Day and will be held in conjunction with our popular monthly “Cock of the Walk” event.

We extend our thanks and remembrances to the patron of this day and the trophy donor, the late Major General David Butler AO, DSO, a former president of Sorrento Golf Club.
To enter and be eligible for the Services Recognition Day Trophy, you must register and attend the “Cock of the Walk” Anzac Day dinner, which includes the trophy presentation.
