Congratulations to Max Donne, who is this year’s Easter Cup winner. Max began with a strong start, with a birdie on the first hole. Although he encountered bogeys on holes 3 and 5, he quickly recovered with an impressive birdie on hole 8. A double bogey to conclude the front nine did not deter him, as he finished four strokes better than his handicap. Pars on holes 10, 11, 15, and 16 brought Max to eight under his handicap through hole 16. Despite a slight decline on the final two holes, Max concluded with a score of 80 off the stick, achieving a net score of 66, securing victory by two strokes over Rene Johnson, who recorded a net score of 68.

Max has had remarkable success at Sorrento Golf Club, having previously won the Victory Cup and B Grade Championships. He now requires only a victory in the Winter Cup to complete the Sorrento Slam!
